Check equipment/system upon arriving to each shift to ensure functionality
Follow Show Director commands and react appropriately in live scenarios when unscripted situations develop
Recognize and react to a variety of reading styles, pace, dialects/accents etc.
Identify when on-air talent goes off-script in order to pause and recover when going back on-script
Cross train in other technical production areas to broaden skill set.
Must join the NABET union if not a current member
Minimum 3 years of experience in broadcast technical operations
Minimum 2 years of Teleprompter experience
Proficiency with Win Cue Prompter or other teleprompter programs
Must be proficient working with Dalet and wireless transmitters and receivers.
Strong multi-tasking skills required to be successful in our fluid environment with live shows
Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to communicate professionally across various departments, and provide good customer service to other employees and guests who need help with microphone preparation and placement.
Ability to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends and/or late breaking news to support the 24x7 on-air broadcast environment
Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age

Extensive experience working under deadlines with a major-market News Department
In-depth experience ingesting, trimming, migrating, playing out and archiving news material
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
