Operations Coordinator


Team: PBS Digital Studios

Status: Full-time, Contractor, funded through June 2020 with possibility of extension


Note: The individual selected for this role will not be employed directly by PBS. The incumbent will be hired by a staffing firm as a contractor under the instruction of PBS.


Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize file delivery methods for PBSDS producers
  • Update internal documents and spreadsheets
  • Perform video file ingestion to third party platforms
  • Manage invoicing, vendor submission, and billing requests for the department
  • Assisting Senior Operations Associate and Director of Digital Operations in day to day operations tasks

Requirements for success:

  • Experience working with digital video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc)
  • Technically proficient with Adobe Suite
    • Particularly Premiere, Photoshop, In Design; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience working with closed caption files (.srt, .dfxp, .scc)
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Suite (e.g.: Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Drive apps (e.g.: Sheets and Docs)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft AX preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Organized with outstanding attention to detail
