JOB SUMMARY


The Marketing Manager, Media Solutions is responsible for
developing marketing strategies and programs to support newly launched brands
in the Canadian market for Cox Automotive Canada. The Marketing Manager, Media
Solutions will report into the Head of Marketing & Branding and work
closely with two prominent Cox Automotive Canada brands – Dealer.com and Kelley
Blue Book, as well as the various brands across the company and the executive
team across Canada and Internationally. This position requires the ability to
effectively manage multiple projects and resources across various channels, in
a fast-paced environment. This individual will have experience managing complex
marketing programs across both digital and traditional channels. The
candidate must be self-motivated, organized, possess rigorous attention to
detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Responsibilities:


Strategic
Planning



  • Lead the
    development of a marketing strategy and annual plan for Cox Automotive Digital
    Solutions, including Dealer.com and Kelley Blue Book
  • Lead the
    development of marketing campaigns and activation of the marketing plan;
    including new program and feature launches, major campaigns and promotions,
    key sales events, and prioritized new business opportunities as they arise
    during the year
  • Facilitate regular
    communication between marketing and key stakeholders to ensure objectives
    continually align
  • Partnering with Cox Automotive Canada Events in
    planning and execution of strategic customer and industry events based on
    objectives
  • Ensure alignment
    of plans with overall Cox Automotive Canada and specified brands marketing
    strategy, best practices and brand guidelines
  • Recommend
    marketing spend needed to accomplish objectives and manage marketing
    budget

  • Oversee development of high-quality marketing and
    communication materials designed to support sales, market goals and promote
    our collective benefits and build equity for our brands
  • Partnering with external contributors and internal
    team members to develop and manage social media and media plans
  • Work with Director of Sales, Sales Managers and Sales
    team members across Canada, along with other key stakeholders to grow digital
    solutions sales
  • Manage implementation of marketing plans and
    campaigns, working closely with agencies, partners and internal team
    personnel to assign responsibility and ensure execution of tactics
  • Work with events management team to align and activate
    customer events, association partnerships, and industry activities
  • Manage workload
    and expenses to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Work with legal on
    creative, SOW’s and contracts to gain approval when necessary
  • Work with sales
    teams to identify customer target lists for campaigns
  • Consistently
    assess performance results of marketing plans and provide recommendations
    on adjustments as needed
  • Measure and report
    to senior management on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives





  • Collaboration

  • Serve as single
    point of contact for Dealer.com and Kelley Blue Book brands for marketing
    needs, including consulting/data requests and creative projects
  • Build relationships
    with key stakeholders, understand needs and business dynamics, and ensure
    great execution of marketing plans
  • Proactively
    communicate with key stakeholders and cross-functional team members on
    marketing campaign and promotion plans, development and execution
    requirements
  • Participate in sales
    and product meetings as well as planning sessions
  • Collaborate with
    peers as well as Cox Automotive International brands to leverage best
    practices and synergies where applicable
  • Work closely with
    marketing teams across Cox Automotive brands to ensure alignment and
    expression of individual brand messages



  • Qualifications:



    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE &
    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:



  • BA/BS, Business
    Degree with a focus on Marketing
  • 6-8 yrs.
    experience in Marketing
  • Automotive
    industry experience


  •  

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of
    digital marketing channels & tactics
  • B2B Marketing
    experience
  • Exceptional verbal
    and written communication skills
  • Strong
    organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
  • Must be able to
    manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to learn
    quickly and adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to act
    independently (self-motivated)
  • Working knowledge
    of MS Office suite
  • Graphic design
    skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative an asset but not required
  • Team player with a
    positive, energetic attitude
