We currently have an opening for a Document Production Associate in our Washington, DC or Princeton, NJ office. This role is focused on preparing complex documents, presentations, graphics, questionnaires, forms, and other products, using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software.

Duties of the Position:

  • Maintain a collaborative, solution-oriented customer service environment as part of the document production team.

  • Format proposals, reports, and other deliverables according to Mathematica branding and client requirements, including contract or RFP (Request for Proposal) requirements.

  • Work with supervisor to monitor and prioritize workflow in order to meet deadlines.

  • Track progress toward milestones, anticipate issues, and communicate with supervisor on status of projects and staffing needs.

  • Update ServiceNow requests, SharePoint template libraries, and maintain production folders to achieve high level of communication and file version control from files receive to files archived for all documents.

  • Apply expert knowledge of department software and hardware; keep abreast of new software skills, tips, and shortcuts.


    • At least 5-7 years experience of large scale document production, preferably in a federal contracting environment. 

    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite formatting techniques, creating and working with templates and style sheets; including page formatting of copy, placing photos and artwork.

    • Working knowledge of Adobe CreativeSuite, particularly Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, (Illustrator a plus).

    • Working knowledge of page layout, graphic file types, resolution, and color application.

    • Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements and tools.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with top-notch proofreading abilities.

    • Excellent problem solving and time management skills.

    • Ability to sustain a high level of care and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Various federal agencies with whom we contract require that staff successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearance as a condition of working on the project. If you are assigned to such a project, you will be required to obtain the appropriate security clearance.
