Digital Production Coordinator, Viacom Digital Studios: Comedy Central

Job Description

The Digital Production Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of digital assets and publishing digital content consumed across social platforms and site at Comedy Central. This position serves as a contributing team member to producers who are determining strategic and creative directions for all digital initiatives. This role reports directly into the Manager, Digital Production and Strategy, Viacom Digital Studios: Comedy Central.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working collaboratively within a large, multi-layered organization. He/she will work closely with many support groups within the department and elsewhere in Comedy Central. The ability to maintain relationships and communicate effectively with constituents in Comedy Central’s Brand Creative, Development, Video Production, Social and Marketing teams is essential.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and plan asset and video delivery with digital production and post-production
  • Coordinate with programming, development and social teams to build, traffic and post content on Comedy Central’s digital properties
  • Build video files, site pages and social assets to support assigned series
  • Work with website and social producers to track and manage final assets for launch
  • Work with social team members to effectively produce content in the social space
  • Manage and track delivery of assets through various teams



Additional responsibilities:

  • Understand digital strategy, social best practices and communicating decisions to the day-to-day team players
  • Work with team members and assigned manager to help improve process, workflow, documentation, and tools to ensure they are upheld and/or improved to department standards
  • Support the team who manages and determines digital creative, strategy, and execution as set forth by creative leads and senior producers

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 2-3 years of digital content production experience at a major commercial media, entertainment or creative brand or interactive agency
  • Experience with delivering assets to be programmed across a variety of digital platforms and the trafficking of content through different departments to final delivery
  • Working knowledge of project management ticketing systems and technical specs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with the Comedy Central brand and series a plus
  • Experience in executing experiences that drive engagement on social media
  • Intimate familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat and other major social networks, including their admin tools
  • Working knowledge and understanding of digital technologies, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, CMS tools, Google Drive, Slack and more
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects at once
