About the Team
Real Homes speaks to people who want to make ordinary homes extraordinary. Through a market-leading mix of inspirational design ideas, trend advice, news and insightful product guides, it helps its audience decide the best ways to make their home amazing. Real Homes started as a UK-based magazine in the late 1990s and now, thanks to the launch of RealHomes.com in 2017, has become one of the best-known brands in home design. RealHomes.com is the UK’s fastest growing homes website with around 900,000 monthly users. It really is the success story of UK homes media - and now it aims to create a truly global reach.
The Real Homes team is a small, friendly, hard-working and smart collective of passionate homes journalists who combine knowledge of the sector with an eye for ensuring their work gets surfaced. Based in London, Bromsgrove and now New York, the team works intelligently to deliver the best content for its huge and varied audience.
This is an amazing opportunity to disrupt the US digital homes media landscape - our plan is to make RealHomes.com the leading homes website in the United States - and our US Managing Editor will be tasked with delivering on that ambition. RealHomes.com is currently in the top three most popular homes website in the UK and currently sits at 26 in the US rankings.
The US Managing Editor’s job is to create a strong and significant suite of content specifically curated to attract US views and engagement - a successful outcome will be supercharged growth in US page views and seeing the site become the powerhouse in the US it already is in the UK. In addition to audience, the Managing Editor also has a responsibility to develop strong eCommerce revenues through compelling, visible guides to choosing home retail products. The Managing Editor will represent the brand not just to the audience but also to industry, with a view to developing key commercial contacts that can directly lead to revenue.
