Programmatic media is a key investment within Future. We are a small team who work closely together to meet the needs of our clients. And we’ve been really successful! Last year we grew revenue to over $10M through programmatic media! Our portfolio of specialist content and brands delivers content to enthusiasts across the world with hundreds of millions of visitors to our sites and so our programmatic team have a core role to play in continuing our success as a leading media platform!
The team work alongside a high performing sales team based in our New York office as well as reps based across the US. Our sales teams deliver significant revenue and client solutions for leading brands across our verticals which include technology, gaming, music & entertainment, hobbies and creative.
Due to the continued growth and success of the US Programmatic team we are looking to add another Sales Manager to the team to help us reach new heights.
We are looking for a self-starter to join our New York-based sales team who will be responsible for premium programmatic monetization across our brands. You will proactively sell to wherever the client programmatic team sits – agencies, agency trading desks, in-house direct at the client, DSPs, as well as leveraging our relationships with the major SSPs. You will also be responsible for the actual setup and optimization of Programmatic deals in order to meet and exceed client expectations.
Ideally you will have some experience and have a strong interest in how programmatic advertising is changing the media landscape, as well as an operational and analytical mindset. The ideal candidate will be excited by its potential for further growth and the opportunities presented by new ad tech. You will be willing to constantly learn and develop as the market changes. You will be a key asset in driving programmatic revenue from new business by cultivating new relationships.
A collaborative mind set is critical, as we are a small team who works closely together to meet the needs of our clients whilst leveraging the skills and expertise of other teams based in different countries.
Prospect and cultivate new Programmatic business to help drive individual and team revenue
Understand Future’s products and effectively sell our audience and brands to programmatic media buyers at agencies, agency trading desks, client direct, DSPs, etc.
Set up, troubleshoot, optimize PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed deals within Google, Rubicon, PubMatic, Index Exchange, OpenX, AppNexus, and Telaria
Pull open exchange reporting to understand buyer behaviours including bids, win rates, pricing to help in up-selling clients
Work with Programmatic team and several other groups internally including Global Programmatic, Direct Sales, Ad Operations, Marketing, Ad Tech to help you achieve success
Become a subject matter expert in the programmatic space
Forecast revenue and maintain your own pipeline of new business to meet sales targets
What do I need to succeed?
Bachelor’s Degree required
Digital advertising background with solid understanding of pricing models, ad tech and performance metrics
1-2 years experience in the programmatic space, either at a publisher, agency, trading desk, or ad tech company
Strong analytical, quantitative and operational skills – ability to identify trends, new business and new monetization opportunities by using data to back up recommendations
Entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic required
Ability to command a large audience for client presentations
Exceptional communication skills with a “hustler” mentality
Working knowledge of Google Ad Manager, Google AdX, Rubicon, PubMatic, Index Exchange, OpenX, AppNexus, Telaria, and Bluekai
Existing relationships on the Programmatic buy side a plus
