Position: Instructional Designer
Estimated Duration: 6 months
One of Houston's top employers is looking for a Freelance Instructional Designer to join its team. This is an ONSITE, 40 hour/week assignment that starts in October.
The ideal Instructional Designer has 3+ years of experience in a training role and a minimum of 2+ years of experience with designing e-learning modules and the ADDIE model.
+ Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, e-Learning or Education
+ 1-2 years of experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of experience
+ Experience with Kirkpatrick 4 Level Assessment
+ Understanding of ADDIE model of curriculum development
+ Project management in a learning environment
+ Experience with various levels of Bloom's taxonomy to construct learning objectives in the Mager and similar models
+ Expert level writing and editing
+ Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel
+ Experience with Articulate Storyline 2.0, SharePoint, GoAnimate, Emaze, Powtoons, and Prezi is required
+ Strong collaboration skills
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing and analyzing high quality training content. In addition, you will have the responsibility of developing and administering training curriculum within a call center environment at multiple sites.
+ Oversee development of training materials and programs by applying adult learning principles
+ Design and develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, virtual modules and other methods of learning
+ Analyze data
+ Oversee aspects of course quality including content, editorial, and overall presentation of material, tracking and resolving issues through LMS
+ Present in-person training as a necessary component of producing and refining training
+ Work with SME experts to ensure proper course objectives are met
+ Establish a system to review success of training material
