Position Overview:
The Multi-Platform Marketing Manager at SNY is responsible for all off-channel marketing and cross-departmental marketing support. This person will reinforce and solidify SNY's positioning as the Home for NY sports in a breakout way. Using proper creative and marketing strategies, this position will leverage best practices in marketing, social media, digital promotions, mobile marketing, and technology. This position will regularly interact with internal and external resources as the subject matter expert to drive, support, and execute successful marketing campaigns for all consumer touchpoints for SNY.

  • Partner with other internal stakeholders to own SNY’s brand identity and voice across all platforms
  • Maximize brand awareness through all available relationships and outlets in the New York City market and beyond
  • Manage the creative development of all network marketing campaigns across all mediums including digital, social, print, radio, outdoor
  • Manage the development of collateral materials such as premiums, signage, etc.
  • Develop strategy and execute paid social media campaigns to achieve viewership, engagement and advertising sales goals for content across all platforms including boosting content, promos, GIFs and ad sales initiatives in conjunction with the Multi-Platforms promotion team and Social Media Editors
  • Partner closely with relevant internal stakeholders including Digital Production Teams, Social Media Teams and Programming to ensure consistent execution across all platforms
  • Partner with Data & Analytics team to assess and analyze data/results to set goals, measure effectiveness and apply learnings toward future marketing efforts
  • Critically analyze network ratings, digital measurement, and feedback to develop, follow up, research and identify opportunities for improving brand and audience development
  • Ensure brand is continuously resonating with target audiences and spearhead adjustments to strategic plans or implementation as needed
  • Maintain awareness of new or developing trends and best practices in multiplatform marketing across linear, mobile, social and digital platforms; Remain proficient in all new technology, tools and trends to consistently enhance execution of all multiplatform marketing efforts
  • Work collaboratively with Affiliate Marketing Manager to develop strategic marketing programs and support materials for distributors
  • Serve as day-to-day contact with outside agencies and internal art department
  • Act as primary contact to Mets, Jets, UConn and other team marketing staffs for implementing co-branded opportunities
  • Create new and engaging high quality promotions and media trade partnerships to build awareness of SNY as the Home of the Mets, Jets, UConn and all things NY sports
  • Develop and execute on-site marketing events for the network to engage fans, build database and begin CRM. Provide on-site event management
  • Develop, track and maximize marketing budget and process marketing-related invoices

  • Basic Qualifications
    • Minimum five (5) years’ marketing and advertising experience related to sports, media or entertainment industries
    • Must have proven ability to develop and implement strategic multiplatform marketing plans, including use of digital and social media
    • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in managing the conceptualization and execution of a brand or company’s social media marketing strategy
    • Prior experience managing and tracking budgets

    • Demonstrated ability to grow a social media following and/or raise levels of engagement on social platforms
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and creative skills required
    • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; meet deadlines and work as part of a team while also being able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Possess great organizational skills and has excellent track record for following through on projects and creating new opportunities
    • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and multiple graphics programs (i.e. Photoshop)
    • Excellent storytelling skills in the written, graphic and video formats
    • High proficiency in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
    • Intimate knowledge of, and passion for, sports and local teams and athletes
    • Passion for today’s media world and the “new normal” of a constantly connected society
    • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information
