This position reports to the Director of Video Production (DVP). The Producer/Videographer will be responsible for assisting in all production work, including but not limited to: President video messages, fundraising videos, admissions videos, marketing campaigns, events, commencements, and the annual holiday video. This role will produce, videotape, edit, direct, and develop content for video features, commercials, and campaigns promoting students, faculty, the President, programs, facilities, and other aspects of the University of Maryland campus. The Producer/Videographer assures that all video productions meet the goals and objectives of clients, and are also consistent with the mission of the university. This individual will plan, organize, and track responsibilities for video productions from concept through post-production. The incumbent will oversee and maintain all video production gear including cameras, microphones, lights, and related equipment.

Education (include licenses, certifications, etc.):
Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:
Must have 5-7 years of video production experience displaying expert use of professional and mirrorless/DSLR cameras, audio gear, and lighting equipment in a variety of settings including on-set, studio, live event coverage, and interviews; mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in managing complicated assignments with multiple contributors. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Video file management skills. Candidates will be expected to submit work samples.

Experience working in higher education
Photography experience
UAS/Drone operation license
3D software knowledge
