  • Produces on-air and outside media promotion for NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut. Conceptualizes, writes, produces and edits on-air promotions. Produces daily topicals and/or image campaigns. Participates in station-sponsored events and all assigned special promotions projects.

  • Work with news producers, reporters and news managers to obtain information and video for production of topical promos to push viewers to NBC Connecticut newscasts on all platforms.

  • Conceptualize, write, edit, produce and/or shoot image campaigns to entrench, and extend, station brand. Identify opportunities within the market to grow and extend our brand in new and innovative ways.

  • Researches and writes scripts for spots, vignettes and other promotions. Selects video and coordinates the graphic design production for spots. Provides creative concepts and ideas for spots. Prepares storyboards for news and special spots.

  • Maintains look of video, vignettes, graphic presentations and scripts consistent with NBC Connecticut production values


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a creative production capacity with refined skills in conceptualizing, writing, producing, and executing high-caliber projects on a news-oriented timeline.

  • Must be willing to work at the station in West Hartford, CT.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects)
  • Experience with large format video cameras
  • Experience with DSLR style cameras
  • Collaborative spirit and team-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and file-management skills
  • Strong understanding of brands and brand loyalty
  • Has the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a “quick turnaround” environment.
