The objective of the Director of Digital Marketing is to maximize the volume of inbound traffic and retention of customers through email marketing, social media, content marketing and other non-paid channels. This is accomplished through a combination of marketing automation, content production and publication, social media engagement and more. The Director of Digital Marketing will also manage, direct and assist in the hiring of a team of content, social media and email professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct digital marketing and content team strategy, activities and effectiveness
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in non-paid campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze engagement and content impact across all web properties, email and social media campaigns
  • Manage any expenses related to content creation, email and social media, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Direct the optimization of emails, content marketing and social media properties through split tests, analytics and other methods
  • Work with SEO team to implement keyword and keyword group strategies
  • Research and analyze competitor content, email and social media strategy
  • Work with the development and SEO teams to ensure digital marketing and tracking best practices are properly implemented across all properties

Education and Work Experience:

  • Proven email and social media growth experience
  • Shows a creative sensitivity towards content creation and deployment
  • Proven experience managing teams of content creators and marketing professionals
  • Proven understanding of organic, email and social media marketing, conversion, customer acquisition and retention
  • In-depth experience with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Hubspot, etc.) and A/B testing
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation software (e.g. Hubspot)
  • Experience in Health Insurance or related field a plus
  • Degree in marketing or marketing analytics related field or 7-10 years experience

Attendance Requirements:
Due to the nature of Health Insurance Innovations needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.
