<u>Role Purpose</u>
This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Communications, NBC Sports Group and assist the SVP and Communications team with day-to-day activities. In this role, you will complete administrative tasks for the department and support the team in managing media relations for NBC Sports Group’s portfolio of properties.

<ul><li>Manage phone, calendar, appointments, travel and expenses for SVP, Communications, NBC Sports Group
<li>Coordinate meetings and conference calls, manage phones, travel and expenses for Communications team
<li>Responsible for daily press clips process; monitor media and breaking news for NBC Sports Group and distribute internally
<li>Assist with compiling clips reports for various events and property seasons
<li>Monitor live-event coverage on NBC and NBCSN
<li>Create and distribute listings
<li>Create and maintain media lists
<li>Write and edit press materials to support our programming and initiatives, including but not limited to press releases, biographies, transcripts, talking points, and event itineraries
<li>Assist with industry research and fact-checking
<li>Update NBC Sports Group’s press and internal websites
<li>Assist with directing projects for the Communications’ Page and internship program
<li>Distribute press releases; train other department members on systems, as needed
<li>Assist with internal events and projects, as assigned
<li>Track and file departmental invoices, handle departmental purchasing card expenses, and support departmental budget planning
<li>Coordinate facilities and logistics services for department

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications or Public Relations
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in the public relations area, or educational focus in PR/Sports/Communications
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in the entertainment/media industry

  • Internship experience in Sports Information or Communications a plus

    Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to initiate projects and see them through to completion
  • Proactive in keeping abreast of industry developments and company news
