Reporting directly to the CTO, NBC News Digital, the Head of Digital Video Operations will be responsible for streamlining video workflows that support video efforts across our brands (NBCNews.com, TODAY.com, MSNBC.com, Stay Tuned, NBC News Now). In addition to operations, this role will have oversight to Pre and Post Production efforts for the organization. This role will partner with editorial, video engineering, product leads, as well as key stakeholders outside of Digital to ensure we can provide the best video content experiences to our audience.

ResponsibilitiesOversee, maintain and optimize the technical delivery pipeline of our video assets.Develop and implement workflows and processes around about digital video publishing capability.Managing video production and post-production efforts for on-time delivery and on-budget execution of video assetsOversee and approve production and post-production budgets, and schedulesWork with Video Engineering and Software development teams to help execute technical projects Working with producers and video editors to optimize editorial processes Leading the video production and post-production group’s efforts regarding shared network resources, workstation standards, software updates, archiving and storage Maintaining technical standards across the video department, continuously audit industry best-practices and optimize often Developing, distributing and updating documentation relating to post-production workflow and process Overseeing the post-production archive and content library Identify problem areas quickly and pose creative solutions Ensure legal clearances and platform standards are upheld Quality Control for all final assets Occasionally managing on-site event production in the form of technical guidance

You may be the right person to lead these efforts if:
• You have a minimum of 10 years in digital media – with proven experience in a production management/post-production role
• Demonstrated track record of overseeing pre and post production teams responsible for graphics and editing for digital video assets
• Technical production and or video engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of color-space, editorial post, finishing and grading
• Experience with versioning, subtitling, and dubbing workflows
• Knowledge of AVID, Premiere and other relevant post-production software
• Knowledge of a wide array of media asset management systems for different delivery specifications
• Experience with virtualized and cloud-based solutions preferred
• Experience working with MAM and PAM system, ideally you’ve worked with Interplay

• Effortless collaborator and expert communicator who can work well across and within cross functional teams
• Deep understanding of the digital video marketplace and the technology behind operating effectively in this business
• Experience building and maintaining excellent relationships with external clients and partners
• Demonstrates a deep understanding and appreciation of digital content & products, ideally in the news and information space
