POSITION TITLE: Marketing Coordinator

REPORTING TO: Director, Digital Communications

Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for project managing the design and production of AFSP’s marketing materials, both digital and print. This role, under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Digital Communications, maintains the workflow of all internal and external marketing materials and merchandise from inception to organizational approval, vendor support, design development/review and production.  The Coordinator serves as liaison between AFSP’s departmental staff and outside design firms to ensure that materials meet the departmental needs while strictly adhering to AFSP’s established brand guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with people, will have the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and will take pride in paying attention to details.


  • Ensure the timely flow of internal/external marketing approvals through organization and external partners and vendors
  • Maintain brand guidelines ensuring the brand is consistent and incorporated into all marketing materials and merchandise produced
  • Manage the internal/external store including merchandise sourcing, reprints, quantity control, product descriptions, standardized pricing and overall organization
  • Attend all project kickoff meetings and maintain notes/minutes to determine project needs
  • Communicate material needs to design firm(s)
  • Manage design and feedback rounds for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work with AFSP’s distributor to source materials for new projects
  • Schedule launch of new materials in store and on the company Intranet
  • Understand sales trends to ensure materials remain in stock
  • Perform minor updates to existing materials as needed
  • Manage material distribution and stock levels through our online store and our volunteer resource site

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or Design
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience in marketing capacity (may include internships)
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to work in fast and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong interpersonal skills including an ability to listen to and interpret departmental requests and needs
  • General knowledge of fundamental marketing principles
  • Microsoft Suite knowledge a plus; working knowledge of Adobe Suite products InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
