Universal Studios Hollywood, the Entertainment Capital of L.A. has an opening for an experienced Sales Representative of Youth and Educations Event Sales. We are looking for a dynamic sales professional to be a part of a winning team and work for one of the top companies in the world. This position is responsible for focusing on promoting and selling Universal Studios Hollywood’s Events including Grad Bash and group ticket programs along with assisting the Sr. Manager of Youth and Education and Special Events with various sales initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role must be sales driven, results focused, passionate and effective at presenting Universal’s Youth and Education Events in a classroom setting as well at school assemblies. The candidate will report to and work closely with the Sr. Manager of Youth and Education / Special Event Sales and be accountable for expanding Universal’s Youth and Education events through phone and in person selling. Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and maintain key accounts as well as foster new relationships to exceed revenue goals
  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities and initiatives to drive event ticket sales
  • Personally travel and visit schools to sell Universal’s Youth and Education events
  • Increase venue and product awareness within the market place by visiting schools and conducting sales calls, familiarization tours, educational meetings, tradeshows, etc.
  • Conduct and manage telesales and email campaigns to promote events and ticket programs and generate leads
  • Partner and network within industry organizations to develop strong relationships and obtain sales leads
  • Preparing proposals and event budgets, that are geared towards maximizing profit while fulfilling customer needs
  • Partnering with Event Production to ensure flawless execution of event
  • Effectively partner with operations, entertainment, finance, food/retail and sales/marketing to leverage knowledge and opportunities
  • Continuously expand knowledge of competition to ensure Universal Studios Hollywood’s placement in the marketplace
  • Other duties as assigned


  • • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Sales or Marketing preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, directly supporting or directly selling
    • Proven success in developing client relationships and managing accounts
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and determine accurate product for customer need
    • Computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Must have reliable transportation and able to conduct sales calls in Southern California
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

    • Experience selling to school administrators, teachers and students
    • Effective customer service skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Knowledge of Salesforce Software
    • Proven success in working effectively with team members
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be able to wear 'multiple hats" and multi task
    • Self-motivated
    • Outgoing, positive attitude
    • Team player, willing to jump in to assist teammates when needed
    • Knowledge and experience in Salesforce
    • Ability to speak foreign languages, particularly Spanish, is not required but a plus
