The role of the Senior Program Manager is to coordinate the activities and program planning for cross functional areas and requirements to ensure that deadlines are being met and the overall goal of the program is being executed.  This role is responsible for working with partners across the organization to align program support to the overall business objectives and product roadmap.

 

The right candidate will have experience leading medium to large products and projects; and excel at written and verbal communications. A background in automotive industry is a significant plus. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs and balancing the needs of various key stakeholders. You will be expected to have strong opinions about tradeoffs as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program. You will be able to lead a program at scale and participate/influence other senior leaders across the company future direction-setting.

 

Finally, you will work with technology and business teams to define program requirements, understand customer needs, and define success metrics and performance tracking methods for product launches.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Program Leadership

  • Participate in program planning efforts spanning multiple solution groups
  • Lead programs throughout the program lifecycle
  • Ensure programs are completed in accordance with scope, budget, risk mitigation, dependencies, and time constraints to achieve the stated outcomes
  • Coordinate efforts requiring multiple work streams to accomplish stated outcomes
  • Assist leadership in change management efforts
  • Partner with various teams to support the development of program management processes, tools and best practices


Program Communication

  • Ensure alignment on program requirements, priorities, and deadlines
  • Provide status updates and facilitate program meetings and cross-functional awareness updates
 


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • 8+ years of applicable experience
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and related principles and best practices.
  • Project management certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large, complex enterprise programs and projects to successful execution
  • Proven experience in strategic and portfolio planning
  • Experience in automotive industry a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to build strong cross functional relationships.
  • Strong business acumen. Able to appropriately evaluate both qualitative and quantitative information to arrive at the right decision.
  • Expertise at anticipating and solving complex problems.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience leading technology centered solutions delivery.
  • Must be able to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and on the job training.
  • Less than 10% travel
