Content Writing Assistant
- Full Time
The One Club for Creativity is looking for a Content Assistant to join our Marketing and Communications team.
The One Club for Creativity (TOCC) has a wide variety of initiatives that exist to celebrate and support the global creative community. These include our iconic award shows (The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, Young Guns, etc.), educational and professional development programs, as well as departments that champion inclusion, diversity and gender equality. The Content Assistant will support these initiatives by working with our Creative and Content Manager to generate original content, primarily in the form of written articles and interviews about the projects and the people involved.
The Content Assistant is closer to a storyteller than a journalist, and able to write compellingly yet colloquially—our community is filled with quirky, creative characters. That said, an informal and conversational writing style is no excuse for poor spelling and grammar.
To join our team, you must be curious and self-motivated. While you’ll be given regular assignments, we expect you to be proactive in thinking up additional article and interview subjects that you would be interested in writing about, and our audience in reading.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid writing and editing skills, with previous experience
- Interest in advertising, design, illustration, photography, and other creative fields
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Experience with online publishing tools
- A stickler for deadlines, good at managing editorial calendars
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Proficient in MS-Office programs, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Please submit cover letter, CV and 3 writing samples with your application.
Office hours are M-F 9:30 AM–6:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
The One Club for Creativity, producer of the prestigious One Show, ADC Annual Awards and Creative Week, is the world's foremost nonprofit organization recognizing creative excellence in advertising and design.
In addition to awards shows, TOCC programming includes Creative Boot Camps, inclusion and diversity programming, professional development, student events and gender equality initiatives in the US and abroad.
