Participates in and helps supports all parts of the production of a sales integration package and non-sponsored pieces from inception to broadcast. Includes pre-production and planning meeting with account sales executives, clients, and talent as necessaryOperating of all portable video (field cameras) and audio equipment.Transports and sets up all required lighting and audio equipment including lavaliers, wireless receivers, and handheld microphones.Provides limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment for the production.In post-production selects footage, rough cuts, audio adjustment, edits, add graphics, voice over, music bed and include sound effects to create the final product utilizing Adobe Premiere editing software, along with other Abode CC software.Exports video projects for output; makes video copies for clients and broadcast.Responsible for the quality of each commercial produced. Places legal disclaimers into advertisement spots if required. Reviews productions to ensure objectives are attained according to client requirements and insures production is ready for air prior to start date.Provides creative concepts and ideas for spots. Provides cutdown versions of spots as needed for clients.
NBC Connecticut is looking for a full-time Commercial Producer for our lifestyle show, CT LIVE!, a lifestyle integration show airing at 11:30 a.m. weekdays on NBC Connecticut live from Westfarms. This role is crucial in the production of the show’s sponsored segments and must work closely with staff, including talent, producers, promotions team and account executives, along with clients and sponsors. This role combines the ability to shoot, edit and produce sponsored and non-sponsored content for air and digital platforms. The Commercial Producer must be able to represent the station professionally at clients’ businesses and on shoots.
Work with talent and producers for production of all segments.Perform all other tasks necessary to carry out the foregoing functions and any other functions consistent with, or reasonably inferable from, the foregoing.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a commercial production or creative services department producing and editing video for topical promotions or integrated content.

Must be 18 years or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity and ability to work with audio and video equipment.
Ability to shoot and edit content that communicates clients’ message(s) effectively.
Ability to present information effectively and professionally in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and co-workers.
2 years of related work experience including non-linear editing skills
Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
Proficient in Word and Outlook
Proficient in AfterEffects and Photoshop
Strong interpersonal skills
Has the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a “quick turnaround” environment.
