Role Summary
The Coordinator, Communications, Advertising Sales & Partnerships, serves as key member of the team supporting the department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that all aspects of the Communications department run smoothly. In addition to any overall team needs, the Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Senior Vice President of Communications with day-to-day administrative functions and operational duties, and will be involved in special projects across internal and external communications.

ResponsibilitiesSupport administrative needs of the Senior Vice President of Communications as well as providing administrative help to additional members of the Corporate Communications department (answer phones, coordinate calendar, book travel, IT and facilities services, manage billing, invoices and expenses, and assist with meeting prep)Responsible for daily morning clips process; monitoring major papers, trades and online outlets for relevant NBCUniversal news and industry clips and distribute to multiple audiences including NBCUniversal senior executives, the various communications teams and organization-wide Advertising Clips distributionServe as a key member of the Communications team, helping execute internal and external initiatives including implementation of events, ideation of pitches, stories, and speaking opportunities; and moreCreate and keep journalist, department and general press/contact lists up-to-dateMaintain executive bios and fact sheets along with organizing team filesAssist/manage press inquiries, special events, and headshot/photography requests as needed Regularly research and provide short summaries on industry news and updatesConsistently update and maintain communications Weekly Update and distribute to members of Communications team and senior executivesDistribute press releases to the media through systems including Cision and PR Newswire; train other department members on such systems as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year work experience in communications, media and/or advertising preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
