Support existing and new product development efforts. The Business Operations Manager will be part of the Content Distribution Business Operations team. The business operations team is tasked with leading the department’s in-market VOD and linear product workflows. The business ops manager will be assigned an in-market CD product(s) to oversee and manage from end-to-end; serve as that product’s subject matter expert (SME). Duties include overseeing workflows for all products related to Authentication onto NBCU sites and app and/or VOD content, to ensure contractual entitlements, compliance requirements and monetization strategies are met. They will be responsible for leading efforts to identify and improve or expand capabilities to grow revenue or cost savings opportunities. This person will also be responsible for creating and executing plans for in-market rollouts of CD products to our (d)MVPD partners.
Oversee execution of distribution partners’ network entitlements. Manage by working with industry adopted authentication tools and vendors.Identify improvement opportunities to authentication workflows and products to make accessing NBCU sites and apps easier for consumers and encourage consumption. Drive workflow requirements to maximize VOD turnaround time, availability and consumption.Work with key partners to complete manual and dynamic ad work flow and identify gaps in the workflow. Create and implement action plans to resolve gaps.Suggest strategic initiatives that will help minimize risk in production due to gaps and weaknesses in the operational workflows Serve as primary liaison between business and technology teams to ensure business needs are understood, planned accordingly, and executed.Support & create operational metrics by aggregating data, validating data with internal teams, and presenting in a clear and digestible presentation format.
Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business management or industrial engineering or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3- 5 years of supply chain, project management, or product management experience
Ability to translate business process needs into clear product requirements
Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills
Experience in process improvement with results
Experience in defining user requirements
Experience with relevant business application software preferred
Experience with project management software preferred
Digital Distribution and Entertainment industry experience a plus
Solid history and examples on Project Management skills
Knowledge & ability to read XML and JSON files
