Tech Image – Digital Media Associate/Sr. Digital Media Associate

Tech Image seeks an experienced Digital Media Associate for its team in Chicago. A subsidiary of SmithBucklin, the professional services firm more associations turn to than any other and a 100% employee-owned organization, Tech Image uses the latest digital PR strategies to support a growing client roster comprising various industries – from construction and power tools to software/technology and consumer/fitness. What You Will Do:

  • Support the account manager and digital team as they serve and grow client accounts
  • Execute on programs that increase engagement and interaction within the most popular social media channels, including Instagram Facebook, LinkedIn and others
  • Write social media posts, blog posts or other social content, as needed
  • Understand and execute metrics-based reporting within each social channel
  • Translate client business objectives into social media programs that help build awareness and engage customers
  • Perform ongoing keyword research, expansion and optimization. Make keyword recommendations that help guide the word-choice for social media and web content
  • Collaborate with the team about new social media, digital advertising, promotion and PR methods that advance our clients success
  • Create high-quality visual content (e.g. photo, video, stop-motion, etc.) for social feeds
  • Provide social media counsel to both clients and internal team members as required
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns within client budgets
  • Actively participate in firm marketing initiatives (blogs, case studies, e-mail campaigns, etc.)
  • Support new business meetings through research, preparation and participation
  • Create monthly activity reports to help our clients evaluate our results and see the value of our programs
  • Understand clients' business and generate new ideas to improve current programs and enhance client performance
  • Contribute insights about the client's industry and create opportunities
  • Build trust, credibility, and client referrals
  • Create landing pages to help promote and measure programs
  • Assist in leading client and/or social media related meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Public Relations, Journalism, advertising or Marketing)
  • 0-2 years of B2B social media/digital experience.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proficiency with social media platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple campaign projects, clients and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship and/or agency experience is highly preferred
  • Social media experience in one or more of the following sectors: Construction/Tools, Software/Technology, Consumer/Fitness
  • Knowledge or experience in interactive account management and coordination, media relations, social media and PR campaign strategy and execution
  • Experience in visual storytelling
  • Experience working within influencer communities with a proven ability to build and grow these relationships
  • Experience with digital reporting tools (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc.) to manage and analyze social media accounts and performance
  • Familiarity with working within a structured Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
