The VP, Marketing, Creative Partnerships for MSNBC and NBC News is responsible for the development, positioning, and packaging of multi-platform marketing solutions for clients of MSNBC, Nightly News, Meet the Press, NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, Stay Tuned on Snapchat, and the NBC News Now OTT channel. The position will lead an integrated marketing team and play a key role in liaising with the Sales team to identify target accounts and lead development of solutions by working with our editorial partners. The VP needs to deliver on client campaign objectives while also ensuring that our content continues to stay true to our journalistic integrity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drive innovation and delivering best in class, multiplatform marketing ideas that meet client needs, leverage brand assets and align with our News brandsBe creative, strategic and analytic - consistently collaborate to deliver go-to-market opportunities and sales materials Proactively identify/develop solutions to generate revenue tied to endemic and non-endemic prospects and opportunities across linear, digital, social, and eventsManage, lead and direct the integrated marketing team Serve as overall relationship manager with the editorial leads in order to bring value to all constituenciesWork closely with SVP Sales (linear and digital) to identify key categories, clients and programs for Partnerships and develop go-to-market strategyServe as key point of contact for Sales VPs and Account Executives on an ongoing basis to review accounts, understand challenges, and develop recommendations for new opportunitiesServe as lead when working with internal teams - such as NBCU Client Partnerships, Portfolio Marketing, AdSmart, Direct to Scale - to help respond to RFPs, identify priorities and merchandise opportunitiesInterface with Trade Marketing team to consult on programming, priorities and positioning to inform stories and develop presentations and collateral

• At least 10+ years’ experience in creative roles in advertising sales marketing within the television industry, advertising agency, or digital company with ad supported revenue or highly related experience
• Demonstrated track record of success in news landscape, translating advertiser objectives into high profile integrated marketing or branded content campaigns from creative problem-solving brainstorms through flawless execution
• Proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior executives, including excellent executive-level presentation skills, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Experience in digital solutions a must

• Proven ability to get things done while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various levels of a large organization including senior leadership, interdepartmental teams and external clients
• Ability to supervise, develop and motivate a team consisting of marketing, operational, and creative staff
• Excellent communications, presentation and leadership skills (both verbal and written)
• Comfort with various types and sources of data, and ability to derive insights from data; interest in applying data to inform creative solutions
• Experience with new digital platforms or products highly desired
• Established network of agency and client relationships preferred
• Ability to travel as needed
• Strong business ethics
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
