Role Summary:
The Branch Manager position formally reports to the SVP, Sales & Distribution providing theatrical sales and booking services for the Focus Features slate of films.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Book commercial and specialized film across various sales territories, in geographic areas and with exhibitors of a higher profile, generally larger responsibility that that of a Director, Sales
    In addition, the Branch Manager will be asked to mentor certain Director, Sales personnel though not necessarily having direct management responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Print Control for the trafficking of digital and when necessary 35mm prints for all release and pre-release screenings as well as non-theatrical engagements where applicable
  • Coordinate with exhibition and multiple delivery vendors to ensure proper print type delivery to exhibition
  • Collect weekly holdovers and other related tasks
  • Sell first run titles to independent and regional exhibitors
  • Negotiate / convey film rental policy directions from Focus Features executives to appropriate exhibitors
  • Collect missing box office reports and other related tasks where necessary
  • Facilitate the collection of film rental where necessary, working closely with Accounts Receivables


  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate has 10 years of experience working in theatrical distribution sales with established exhibitor relationships across the US
  • Ideal candidate also has knowledge and experience in distributing a variety of film
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable working as a member of a team as well as independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to meet strict deadlines
  • Resourceful problem solver
  • Distribution industry sales experience is a must
