The Editorial Operations Manager - Magazine will manage all day-to-day operational aspects of editorial content production and delivery to support the core WebMD Magazine and Point-of-Care products, and will
report to the Director of Editorial Development Operations.
-          Lead the on-time delivery of all editorial assets associated with WebMD’s core magazine and Point-of Care products
-          Work side-by-side with senior members of WebMD and Jobson to develop delivery strategies, define processes and workflows and identify efficiencies throughout all editorial phases of magazine content production
-          Create, monitor and update all work plans using Workfront and the defined workflows specific to WebMD’s content creation process
-          Provide regular status updates to senior leaders by clearly communicating about the different phases of work, as well as the dates, assets and any risks associated with each deliverable
-          Handle project related issues or questions and escalate when necessary; also facilitate the development of issue action plans where applicable
-          Ensure a seamless handoff between teams involved in content creation, including managing communication with team members across multiple locations
-          Escalate risk associated at project and task level; work across teams to develop and articulate risk mitigation & contingency plans
-          Responsible for identifying any resource needs or constraints and provide appropriate escalation where there are prioritization conflicts.  Communicate changes to their leadership team to inform forecasting and capacity planning
-          Maintain records of all assets and provide production reports as requested

-          Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related fieldor equivalent experience
-         5+ years of project management experience, print publication experience is a plus but is not required
-          Experience with Workfront or a similar workflow management tool
-          Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects at one time, proactively plan and troubleshoot on the fly
-          Outstanding judgement and decision making capabilities
-          Highly process oriented and organized, with strong attention to detail
-          Ability to be precise and minimize errors, reacting quickly to changing priorities
-          Strong written and verbal communication skills
-          Must have a keen sense of logistics and demonstrate an ability to work well with others
