The Publicity & Special Events Coordinator is responsible for operational duties and logistics for the LA based office. The Coordinator will support the Director, Marketing & Special Events and the Publicity & Communications team.

  • Assist with the planning, coordination and billing for special events from start to finish
  • Enter and maintain important information in our event database, such as critical client lists
  • Process department finances including; vendor setup, purchasing card reallocations, and budget coding.
  • Liaise with designers and vendors to create premiums and VIP gifts
  • Assist with travel logistics and accommodations for participants at events
  • Actively contribute to the team’s development by researching and pitching new event concepts
  • Support team during major international markets such as NATPE, MIPTV, MIPCOM and LA Screenings
  • Provide admin support to Director, International Publicity & Communications as needed (i.e. scheduling meetings, answering phone or connecting calls); work with Communications Manager and/or Communications Intern on assigned projects
  • Compile and distribute daily press clips.
  • Manage and organize magazine library; ensure trade magazine subscriptions are current.
  • Update and maintain broadcaster PR contact list, international journalist database and International Launch Date Calendar.
  • Provide support to the Publicity & Comms team on press events and LA Screenings (I.e.: booking talent travel and cars; creating press packets; track budget; talent gifts; assist at LA press junkets, etc.)
  • Provide admin support to VP, International Publicity & Communications as needed (I.e.: scheduling meetings, answering phone or connecting calls); work with Communications Manager and/or Communications Intern on assigned projects

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, events, communications or related field.
  • Fluency in English required; comprehension in other languages a plus
  • MAC & PC proficient
  • Proficient at MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); Adobe Acrobat and Keynote; and embraces new workplace technology
