The One Club for Creativity is seeking an Events Manager and Producer to oversee the logistics of all of its external events. The person in this role will work closely with various departments and internal teams to decide on the best direction for each event and work within parameters and budget constraints to select appropriate venues, vendors, staffing, production, food and beverage, etc.

Candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, able to think creatively and quickly, and great at multitasking.

Duties Include:

  • Scouting venues, booking and negotiating contracts and fees
  • Researching, hiring and managing all necessary vendors to make each event successful
  • Managing day-of event staff, including assigning individual responsibilities
  • Securing required permits for events
  • Serving as primary liaison for all hotels and venues
  • Organizing accommodations and transportation for award show judges and VIP guests
  • Creating floor plans and seating assignments for gala dinners
  • Developing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Managing production schedules and logistics
  • Laying out floor plans and arranging seating for galas
  • Seeking clients and negotiating One Club gallery space rental to potential clients
  • Working with Gallery Manager to assist with logistics for in-house events
  • Managing event expenses and maintaining detailed expense reports for accounting department

Candidate Should:

  • Have extensive experience with small- and large-scale events
  • Be able to think creatively about a variety of challenges and apply their organizational and managerial skills accordingly
  • Have extensive knowledge of onsite event needs
  • Be well versed in A/V and tech needs for events
  • Demonstrate a can-do positive attitude and be a proactive team player
  • Thrive under stressful situations and tight timelines
  • Have extensive knowledge of food and beverage
  • Be customer-service oriented
  • Have experience negotiating contracts

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant event production and management experience
  • Proven track record of executing successful productions
  • Experience managing staff and vendors
  • Knowledge of Google suite 
  • CMP certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
