MK Advertising is a full-service advertising agency providing strategic, creative, and media services for the exciting, ever-changing publishing and entertainment industry. We handle consumer and trade marketing for our clients including top book publishers.

The Account Director is the liaison between the client and the agency’s creative, media and production teams. The successful applicant will spearhead national consumer advertising campaigns (TV, print, digital, out-of-home) for major publishing clients. This position works primarily on publishing accounts.

Responsiblities include:

  • Maintaining, expanding, and strengthening client relationships

  • Bringing projects in on time, on strategy, and on budget

  • Timely and thorough development of creative briefs, estimates and

    schedules

  • Presenting campaign concepts, creative and media plans to clients with

    confidence

  • Providing clear and well-reasoned strategic direction for campaigns

  • Overseeing creative direction and execution for campaigns (print and

    digital)

  • Cultivating positive relationships with internal departments

  • Running client status meetings and maintaining status documents

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities

    Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident, tactful and persuasive manner

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Media and creative experience a plus

  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and exhibit grace under pressure

  • Positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships with

    others

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate issues before

    they arise

  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • 3+ years experience in agency or publishing required
