About this role: 

Fitspot is hiring an experienced and passionate Vice President of Marketing to analytically lead our marketing strategy to drive growth and brand awareness. As the Director of Marketing you will be responsible for the department’s budget, cross-functionally aligning and allocating the optimal resources to increase ROI and create scalable strategies. The ideal candidate has experience in a data-centric B2B2C company, generating inbounds, and managing a variety of performance levels and data sources across all marketing channels.  

 

The ideal candidate should not be afraid to roll up their sleeves, be hands-on, and have that no-task-too-small mentality. This person should be an expert in most areas of marketing while simultaneously being involved in the details of ongoing sales support and strategy. Responsibilities: 

  • Establish the short, mid and long-term visions and strategic direction for Fitspot’s marketing roadmap
  • Communicate this strategy effectively across all departments and Leadership
  • Work intimately with Fitspot’s VP of Sales to support sales initiatives with high quality, ‘sales ready’ leads
  • Outline and manage key marketing opportunities for Fitspot (conferences, trade shows etc) 
  • Lead vision and execute on high ROI marketing acquisition plan across digital, email, SEO, paid, PR and taking a funnel driven approach, optimizing every stage of the users path to purchase and path to engage
  • Drive understanding of our cohorts and customer behavior to maintain LTV and create a high-quality relationship with our clients  through retention programs
  • Build and report on marketing budget to deliver key quarterly and annual revenue targets through consistently evolving and optimizing the marketing strategy focusing on customer acquisition, conversion, and revenue growth
  • With senior leadership, help define and evolve marketing KPIs and company process to create efficiencies, manage risk, and balance short-term financial goals with overall long-term growth vision
  • Monitor and provide consumer and trend insights to effectively steer decision making and continually stay ahead of the curve
  • Mentor, manage and work cross-functionally with the growing team to develop and execute overall marketing direction and messaging for product launches, content, collateral and go-to-market campaign strategy to increase revenue and reach across all channels
  • Oversee and guide paid acquisition and PR agencies to hit KPIs, see ROI and create a cohesive approach to brand awareness

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • 8+ years of applicable professional experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with 5+ years in a leadership role at a B2B2C company (preferably)
  • Eagerness to join an early-stage startup and build it from the ground up
  • Strong experience working intimately with Sales teams
  • Data obsessed with experience using a data-driven approach while equally understanding brand-building 
  • Excellent communication, mediation and interpersonal skills
  • Sense of urgency, ability to multitask holding other team members and yourself accountable for initiated projects from conception and execution to reporting and analytics
  • You offer strategic and forward-thinking approaches to improve our end-user experience
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience in A/B testing and optimization 
  • Success in previously creating and managing an omnichannel marketing strategy and budget directly tied to company growth and revenue
  • Expertise in marketing automation software (Pardot), attribution modeling, digital tools (Google Analytics, data warehouse, etc.), and funnel optimization to understand CPA, attribution, cohort analysis, and LTV
  • Experience managing a diverse team of digital marketers across content, social, paid search, SEO, and SEM
