Responsibilities
  • Work closely with all departments to help satisfy technical needs of the Broadcast Facility and Network in both live and studio environments
  • Assist users with difficulties associated with satellite feeds, non-linear editing equipment, video server systems, digital audio mixing equipment, video productions switchers, graphics platforms, camera/robotics systems, studio lighting, intercom systems, etc.
  • Perform equipment repairs/maintenance, system installation/integration, and training/guidance for operations personnel.
  • Provide support to control room, non-linear editing, IT, ENG, studio and remote transmission technologies and systems.
  • Contact vendors, peers, and/or technical support services to facilitate timely resolution of operational and technical problems.
  • Perform other duties as required.


    • Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of broadcast/media facility experience
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experienced in satellite and fiber transmission, receiving systems, and IT/network administration
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe non-linear, workflow and storage systems (if applicable)
  • Understanding of all aspects of Standard & High Definition television, including MPEG, J2K and other New Media applications
  • Experience with the operation and administration of file based media workflows and electronic newsroom automation technologies.
