The manager, social media and audience development will oversee Pushkin social media channels, working with hosts and producers to create engaging marketing content across all shows.  The manager will develop both paid and organic strategies to grow the Pushkin platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email, and web. The manager will also help grow audience for our shows through partnerships and promotions with distribution partners, influencer campaigns, and media outlets.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the podcast space, be able to translate data into effective marketing strategies, and will have a deep well of creativity and energy for a job where multitasking is an extreme sport.  This position reports to the CMO.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of Pushkin social platforms including content development and audience growth strategies with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

  • Work closely with CMO on both organic and paid growth strategies for social, email, and web platforms

  • Create social media assets—including videos, show clips, audiograms, and quote graphics—to promote individual shows and Pushkin Industries

  • Collaborate with show hosts and producers to create marketing assets

  • Write and execute email campaigns

  • Help manage our communication with Apple, Spotify, Overcast, Stitcher, and other platform partners

  • Arrange and coordinate promotional swaps with outside shows and networks, working in conjunction with Ads Producer

  • Keep abreast of podcast industry news, competitive shows and the general digital content marketplace

SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 5 years of marketing experience, with time spent in the podcast space a plus

  • Expert level skills across all social media platforms and analytic tools

  • Proficiency with Mailchimp or other ESP

  • Proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign, and video editing platforms a plus

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to pull the most engaging angles from shows on a diverse range of topics

  • Superhuman organization skills to stay on top of multiple projects at once
