NBCUniversal is hiring a Director, Editorial Planning to lead the management of the editorial master calendar, tracking future editorial promotion and asset delivery dates while coordinating with other internal teams to determine all updates to the content library, product releases, marketing communications, customer retention efforts and more to drive performance of the service.
The Editorial Planning team will be tasked with coordinating the global calendar of content availability windows and building a comprehensive knowledge base of information of internal and external factors influencing user engagement and retention. By tracking the execution and performance of editorial promotions, product and marketing campaigns, they will help support daily editorial operations while providing a clear and comprehensive view of the key drivers of the business.
The successful candidate for this role will bring a strong track record of building relationships across teams, the ability to analyze disparate sources of data and an intense commitment to organization and detail. Part managing editor and part project manager, the Director of Editorial Planning will be counted on to integrate the work of distinct teams into a single, focused perspective.
At least 4 years experience in a dedicated project management or similar role at a large scale editorial, e-commerce or video service.
A deep understanding of project management or calendaring tools, such as Jira, Airtable, Asana, and commonly used tracking tools like Excel.
Experience working directly with creative, marketing or editorial teams.
Proven ability to manage an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week.
Excellent writing and presentation skills, and the ability to convey complex data results in a simple and concise way including the ability to make visually compelling decks and dashboards for creative leaders.
The ability to manage a small team and work closely with a variety of other teams.
A passion for television and movies.
