CREATIVE MANAGER, a John Gore Organization company, is seeking a NYC-based inventive, driven and reliable Creative Manager to supervise a team of video, photo and graphic artists and help conceive and execute forward-thinking content.

The Creative Manager will report to the Editor-in-Chief and manage a team of full-time video shoot and editors, photographers and an illustrator, as well as freelance talents. They will collaborate with these team members to help execute a shared creative vision. Strong management skills are necessary, as well as experience working with creatives. The Creative Manager will help their team prioritize their schedules and stay on top of deadlines and workload. They will also have excellent taste in video and photo production, and will work to elevate content quality at all times. Hands-on experience in video creation, photo shoot production and cutting-edge editorial content are valuable skills to possess.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for entertainment and the kind of content that creates, with the vision of making the theater scene exciting and accessible. They should not only care about what’s happening on Broadway, but on the pop culture scene at large.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assigning projects to team members.
  • Managing workloads of team to meet deadlines as dictated by editors.
  • Collaborating with creative team on conceptualizing shoots and end products.
  • Working with production team on needs for video and photo shoots.
  • Acting as on-site producer for shoots when needed.
  • Managing equipment needs for department and placing orders as needed.
