The Math Product Marketing Manager will be an integral part of Heinemann’s Professional Books and Curricular Resources marketing team. This person will be responsible for promoting a growing suite of math-focused products. Critically, they will be the point-person for the launch of a new digital math resource, including messaging, brand strategy, marketing campaigns, sales support, and other promotion.

Key Responsibilities for the Math Product Marketing Manager:

  • Collaborate with editors, designers, sales reps, and Heinemann authors to develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (print and digital advertising, website, direct marketing initiatives, sales materials, sales presentations, etc.)
  • Work with digital product development team members to create clear marketing stories that support the launch of a new, high-profile digital math resource
  • Support Heinemann’s dedicated sales team by sharing content knowledge, developing product-specific trainings, and supporting state-specific sales initiatives
  • Develop a network of educators and education influencers; stay up to date on the needs of teachers, particularly in the area of math education
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key users of Heinemann’s flagship math products for marketing and research efforts
  • Provide sales forecasts, manage promotional inventory, and update existing marketing collateral
  • Support the ongoing development of Heinemann’s growing math line as a member of the product development team
  • Represent Heinemann’s authors and products at national conferences and events

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Independent, self-motivated, self-starter
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and acting on data
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Project management experience, including budgeting and scheduling

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Communications, Marketing, Education, etc.)
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in marketing; education experience is a plus


  • Experience with Storybrand
  • Experience with Workfront

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel will be required (approximately 15-20%), particularly during the launch phase of Heinemann’s new digital math resource.
