The Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting USA, SYFY & UCP Publicity and Talent Relations & Events staff on the West Coast with daily administrative and operational responsibilities. This position will report to the Sr. Press Manager of Communications on the West Coast.Support the consumer publicity team on a wide variety of show campaigns, and help coordinate print/electronic interviews for various USA, SYFY & UCP showsService daily press breaks, maintain press reports and prepare these items for internal and external distributionsCreate, maintain and distribute publicity materials such as screening site notifications and show assetsOrganize talent travel for press events and maintain itinerariesWork and facilitate press events including press tours, award shows, Comic-Cons, festivals and screenings which may fall outside of standard office hoursTrack and file department invoices/accounting, including purchasing cards and expense reportsDevelop and maintain positive relationships with talent, producers, public relations agencies and representatives, agents, managers, production staffs, media, and programming executives in order to ensure maximum coverage for USA, SYFY & UCP programmingCoordinate IT, facilities services and lead office operationsProvide backup administrative support to SVP, Communications and VP, Talent Relations & Events

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 1 year public relations experience, including internships, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on nights and weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Los Angeles

• Previous experience within entertainment publicity
• Extremely organized with an ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Highly resourceful. Problem solver, with strong communication skills
• Excellent writing and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
• Excellent interpersonal skills
