Digital Content Editor, Sports

The New York Post is seeking a Digital Content Editor with a strong editorial background to contribute to our expanding digital sports initiatives. The person in this role should be a five-tool player: You will be asked to write across a variety of platforms, to edit and package stories, to generate unique story ideas and concepts. The Digital Content Editor should bring a fresh perspective to The Post’s coverage of the New York sports landscape and infuse creativity into our talented staff of writers and editors.

What you’ll bring:

  • Stellar writing chops, with a sense of humor and attention to detail
  • Editing experience, including a practiced copy-editing eye
  • A passionate, creative approach to telling sports stories
  • Fluency working across an array of digital platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of New York sports a plus

What you’ll do:

  • Work on the sports staff’s latest digital initiatives, collaborating with the best writers and editors in town.
  • Edit compelling stories, from the first inkling of the idea to the placement of the last comma.
  • Write and report original content as needed.
  • Think of innovative ways to create and deliver content to The Post’s diehard sports audience.
  • Help create forums for interaction among The Post's audience and its sports staff.
