Role Purpose The Asset Management Engineer will be part of the Reliability & Performance team and will be responsible for maintaining the availability and security of all media assets used by NBC’s Direct-to-Consumer platforms.
Defining asset management policies in conjunction with Intellectual Property team
Working with video engineering and CDN teams to ensure that all media assets are stored securely, reliably, and according to industry best practices
Monitor the availability of all assets and associated hosting environments
Coordinate with Cyber Security team to perform regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning of all infrastructure and working with engineering teams to review and remediate any reported vulnerabilities
Review cloud infrastructure and CDN configuration changes to ensure that systems remain fully secure and compliant with asset management policies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a cyber security or asset management role
Knowledge of secure coding practices and OWASP and SANS vulnerabilities
Expertise in content security technologies such as Digital Rights Management and content encryption techniques
Understanding of multiple cloud computing platforms and CDNs
