***This is a one year limited term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.**

The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a Multimedia Specialist who will help coordinate the development of marketing and recruiting materials for the department.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
*Design and create graphics and artistic illustrations for print or electronic publications.
*Update content on and maintain departmental website and informational content on kiosks located in the department's building, Corley Building.
*Coordinate all public, social, and recruiting events for the department.
*Coordinate with ASABE student chapter and other student organizations about relevant department and student activities.
*Manage/maintain graphic equipment, printers, and inventory of supplies used for digital prints.
*Serve as managing editor of departmental newsletter/annual report.
*Promote Biosystems Engineering research activities on departmental digital outlets.
*Coordinate departmental marketing and communication activities with the Communication Offices in College of Agriculture and Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
*Perform other duties as necessary and assigned by the Department Head.  

Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a closely related field.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated technical excellence, the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and a commitment to an inclusive and diverse campus working environment are required.

Extensive experience with designing and creating graphics and artistic illustrations for print and/or electronic publications and exhibits is desired.
