We are looking for a Freelance Writer to join the Fox News Headlines 24/7 team. As a writer, you will be a crucial member of our broadcast team. You will write news for our national news network, conceptualizing, writing, compiling enterprise stories, fact checking, and building show content newscasts for FOX News Headlines 24/7.  You may be the right candidate if you have the right attitude and understand the level of commitment required to be successful in this role. Your passion for national and international news is bar none!


Please note this is a shift-based role, including overnight and weekend shifts. You will work some holidays and must be available off-hours in the event of major breaking news. 



  • Write fast-paced newscasts
  • Generate creative and innovative ideas for writing news segments
  • Communicate daily story development with producers and editors



  • At least 3 years proven experience in a daily breaking news environment, preferably for a news outlet covering and writing a wide range of local, national and international stories
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, without compromising editorial standards
  • Strong knowledge of current events
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to create an environment that fosters team work
  • Detail oriented nature and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
  • Knowledge and passion for current events and politics
  • Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize compelling stories to distributed on multiple audio platforms
  • Degree in Journalism or related field preferred
