The Manager, Account Management will provide leadership for the AutoTrader and Kelley Blue Book Account Managers.  This individual will train, coach, and develop team members and manage their workload and work quality.  He or she will represent the Account Managers and provide input to the Senior Manager on projects and possible solutions on behalf of the team.  The Manager, Account Management will collaborate closely with their peers in Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, Analytics, Marketing and other departments to explore solutions for ad campaigns and future National Accounts plans.  He or she will also be responsible for managing accounts.
• Support alignment between AutoTrader and Kelley Blue Book teams.• Provide input to Senior Manager on needs as they relate to tools, training, processes, and guidelines that enable teams to fulfill requests and to implement campaigns in a streamlined, timely manner.• Foster a culture of trust, team collaboration, and productivity.• Coach Account Managers towards planning, implementing, and measuring campaigns to drive profit for clients and Cox Automotive via reinvestments, optimizations, and other solutions.• Guide Account Managers towards proactively anticipating internal sales partner and external client needs to move the business forward.• Manage requests and work load, and provide strategic and tactical direction to the Account Managers.• Drive adoption of standardized work processes and tools.• Communicate team progress, issues, and employee development needs to Senior Manager.• Effectively interface with cross-functional teams on development, implementation, measurement, and financial management.• Train and coach Account Managers in preparing and delivering client-focused performance reporting and site reviews remotely or in person.• Communicate team wins, challenges, and potential solutions to Senior Manager. • Partner with internal teams to meet client deadlines and to launch campaigns on time.• Partner with Sales VPs and Account Managers in identifying ways to mitigate risk to revenue and to grow the business.• Overcome daily internal road blocks in real time to keep Account Managers laser focused on driving Simply Outrageous Service and defending revenue.• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.• Handle account management duties for assigned clients.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED Required• Bachelors Degree preferred• 5+ years of online publishing or media experience in a sales or service role with a client focus Required• 1+ years of managing, leading and or developing people Required• Prefer Projects, or processes in a sales or client-facing role• 2+ years of experience working as an Account Manager preferred.• Proven leader in a complex sales environment, preferably media sales or media planning or media buying at an agency.• Demonstrated advanced communication (oral, written and presentation) skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization up to and including executive level required.• Proven planning and organization skills.• Understanding of marketing, advertising, and advertising inventory capacity.• Advanced working knowledge and experience using MS PowerPoint and Excel; third party reporting strongly preferred.• Proven experience and ability to coordinate and manage several high priority projects and/or campaigns in a deadline-driven environment.• Proven experience working with customer groups to analyze data and problems and provide solutions to meet their needs.• Proven experience working with remote and decentralized groups.• Ability to maintain relationships across headquarters and regional offices.• Travel 25% (day and overnight) is Required
