Cox Automotive is seeking a
data-driven Sr. Digital Analytics Specialist to join our
Product Analytics team based out of Irvine, CA. The Sr. Digital Analytics
Specialist is responsible for two key areas of the Kelley Blue Book
international domains:



 

Provide information, insights and
analyses regarding primarily the products on Kelley Blue Book international
domains (kbb.pt, kbb.com.br right now, with Canada launching in Q1), including
standard reporting and monitoring of the health of the business, ad-hoc
analyses of site projects, tests and industry events, and pro-active
identification of actionable optimization opportunities. This position is
expected to refine results by incorporating advanced statistical methodologies
in the analyses. The insights provided by this individual would be used to make
informed, data-driven decisions regarding the optimization of existing kbb.com
products, as well as the development of new kbb.com opportunities. The Senior
Digital Analyst is expected to perform these duties with minimal daily
oversight



 

Develop relevant and actionable
narratives on behalf of automotive manufacturers as it relates to the influence
of their sponsored advertising products. This position is responsible for
working with Sales and Product to develop strategic approaches of how to
evaluate campaign performance, working with those groups to create client RFPs,
overseeing the creation of program recaps and summaries, and collaborating with
other groups to refine and optimize campaigns as they are occurring and/or
after they have run.



 

The Sr. Digital Analytics
Specialist
 is required to continually keep up-to-date with
developments and best practices in the Digital Analytics field (e.g., tools,
techniques, KPIs, etc.), and the latest trends in the advertising and
automotive industries to ensure that insights and narratives are evaluated in
the proper context. This position operates with limited oversight from the
manager of Digital Analytics.



 

Position responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health of KBB international businesses and
    provide actionable information and insights to main stakeholders
  • Own advanced standard reports, providing key insights
    on KPI performance through automated visualization techniques while
    driving efficiency gains
  • Collaborate with other groups (Sales, Product) to
    understand client business issues and creatively evaluate the Cox
    Automotive Media solutions/programs designed to address those issues
  • Works with stakeholders to establish requirements for
    on-going reporting, analyses and insights into KBB international domains
    visitor behavior and associated business, sets expectations and delivers
    accordingly; works with manager to prioritize such projects
  • Must be comfortable presenting findings and
    articulating analytical concepts in a concise manner to internal and
    external groups, including an executive audience
  • Validate the data in our reporting and analyzing
    systems are accurate.  Ensure cross-system data are accurate and
    align to how the business defines them
  • Advanced level ad-hoc support to senior Analytics
    staff/internal clients
  • Advanced A/B or Multivariate Testing Analytics
  • Working with stakeholders to formulate testing plan,
    measurement and analysis of A/B and multivariate testing of kbb.com,
    maintaining and developing statistical models/templates for test analyses.
  • Supports maintenance of analytics implementation,
    maintenance, accuracy and improvement of digital analytics data capture,
    systems and tools
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university;
    and/or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
    combination of education and experience
  • Online experience with web / digital analysis  and
    related software preferred (e.g., Adobe Analytics / Omniture, Google
    Analytics, WebTrends, DFP, etc.)
  • Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g.
    Microstrategy, Platfora, Tableau or Datameer.)
  • At least two to four years in an analytical/statistics
    focused position, preferably in a web site analysis-oriented role
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to
    effectively multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Must be able to understand and analyze data,
    synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear
    analyses and actionable findings
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability
    to clearly and effectively communicate and present analysis findings to
    stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to translate high-level business questions into
    tactical analytics solutions that are relevant to generate the necessary
    insights and answers 
  • Leverage mathematical and statistical principles to
    inform and validate analyses
  • Critical thinking to identify opportunities to inform
    internal business and sales strategies, by proactively providing
    quantifiable recommendations to drive revenue growth
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including formula and
    trending charts development
  • Proficient personal computer skills including
    electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word
    processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
    variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
    standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
    furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Analytical, problem solver, collaborative, strategic,
    results-oriented
