About the Team

Our B2B division deliver high-quality content in a trusted voice to the vertical markets we serve. We do this through multiple platforms, engaging our audience by helping them to make educated decisions and find the companies that sell the products or services that help them to do their jobs better.  The B2B teams are responsible for driving revenue and being a key partner driving relationships through the provision of world class B2B activities. This position will oversee sales across 2 key verticals in the B2B market:


Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the VP of B2B Sales, the Director of Sales will lead a team of driven sales professionals helping our sponsor partners unlock the full potential of their brands through a unique blend of premier content offerings, high-value audiences, and cutting-edge technology. You will be a leader who strategically manages, develops and directs the team to achieve aggressive sales targets and revenue growth from their prospects and clients.

This is a high-energy position requiring proven leadership, persistent and persuasive interactions with clients, expertise in digital, custom media, events and print. You will combine this with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and senior management to achieve broader company goals. The position will also be highly visible and will own key agency and client relationships to drive success in growing revenue.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit, train and build exceptional sales talent by developing career plans with team

  • Provide leadership, guidance and teach strong sales skills

  • Effectively manage team pipeline to ensure revenue goals are met

  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets to sales leadership 

  • Collaborate across the sales organization with other managers, directors and leadership

  • Maintain a positive team culture while motivating the team to achieve goals

  • Ensure achievement of goals related to successful campaign completion

  • Work with team to identify opportunities for optimization and/or growth of existing accounts to build stronger relationships and increase revenue

What do I need to succeed?

  • Significant experience in B2B sales
  • Strong experience in a sales leadership role with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and effective leadership
  • Deep knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology and its competitive landscape

  • Proactive strategic thinking with a strong sales mentality and creative problem-solving skills

  • Proven track record of developing new business and exceeding revenue targets

  • Demonstrated ability to function and communicate effectively at senior levels within a matrix business environment

  • Excellent coaching and training skills

  • Strong analytical skills to identify team trends and patterns to drive results

  • Willingness to travel
