The Office of Communications and Marketing in the College of Agriculture and the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station is seeking applicants for a Social Media/Web Content Specialist who will lead in the development and implementation of a robust social media and web content strategy. The successful candidate will manage a variety of social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, etc.) while developing a variety of dynamic, engaging content for use across the college's social and web platforms. The successful candidate will also coordinate and lead a team of student social media ambassadors in order to leverage their student perspective in the development of relevant social media content. In addition, the successful candidate will supervise a minimum of two student employees responsible for making day-to-day content updates on the College of Agriculture and AAES websites.  

Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, English, or a related field; and knowledge and skill in social media strategy and management as well as a working knowledge of managing content within WordPress or similar content management systems.

Level II requires a Bachelor's degree in the disciplines listed above and two years of experience in marketing and communications
services to include print journalism.

Level III requires a Bachelor's degree in the disciplines listed above and four years of experience in marketing and communications services to include print journalism.

The candidate selected for the position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States by the start date and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
