Create or help create digital-first video products for a variety of social, digital and OTT platforms both in English and Spanish.Oversee and help grow existing digital video products on diverse platforms, working with the digital team’s overall strategyDevelop new video styles and products to leverage multiple platforms. Execute and help refine the stations’ YouTube strategy.Execute and help refine the stations’ OTT strategies.Actively monitor a variety of video sources to identify content that would appeal to our audience. Plan, create and post digital and social content for the Philly Live show, including working closely with the rest of the digital team, broadcast and the host.Shoot digital video as needed and edit digital video, including using text or other additions as needed.Write for NBC10 Philadelphia and Telemundo62 platforms when appropriate, and backup digital content producers as needed.Develop best practices and action items from metrics data.Stay on the cutting edge of digital multimedia trends and innovation, including monitoring direct competitors as well as what’s next in the space.Coordinate with divisional social and video teams to improve communication and share best practices.Help train the digital team and wider newsroom on best practices for digital video.
Proficient in speaking and writing in English and Spanish.
Minimum 5 years of experience at a news organization or blog that creates content under tight deadlines.
Proficient with video tools including Adobe Premiere and Creative Suite.
Proficient with social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, IGTV and YouTube.
Able to shoot high-quality video with iPhones and/or professional-grade video cameras
Proficiency in lighting interview subjects and recording high-quality audio during shoots
Demonstrated knowledge of AP Style writing and guidelines.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or required.
