ROLE SUMMARY

Cox Communications, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst II who is incredibly curious about marketing and pricing analytics, building capabilities and continuous improvement. The Pricing Analyst supports the Cox Business Pricing and Analytics team by analyzing company/competitor pricing, promotions and product offers targeted to the Small and Medium-sized business segment. The Analyst will also have project management responsibilities in driving large scale pricing initiatives. The candidate’s work requires close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Business Operations and other teams to drive results. This position helps execute pricing architecture and strategy across multiple product lines, while monitoring and reporting on pricing effectiveness. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Execute the Cox Business monthly customer price escalation process through the use of SQL queries and advanced excel models
• Support the development and execution of pricing strategies to drive customer revenue growth and customer retention efforts
• Design, develop, manage and distribute reporting to measure base customer activity, product pricing and promotional effectiveness
• Monitor, analyze and report on key tracking metrics including customer sales volume, churn, discounting, upselling, etc.
• Translate business problems into analytical problems, extract and manipulate data, conduct statistical and quantitative analyses to infer business meaning of results and develop recommendations
• Project manage the launch of promotional pricing across the existing portfolio of Cox Business products. Includes close collaboration with key functional areas and markets to ensure the timely and efficient implementation of pricing projects
• Develop innovative methods and tools for reviewing, analyzing, forecasting and presenting on pricing achievement of goals
• Develop effective presentations, articulating results from analyses and opportunities for growth and development to internal customers with ease
• Lead ad-hoc quantitative analysis and research deep dives
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Cox Business products


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years work experience in pricing, marketing analytics, finance, technology, or product management in a competitive industry with similar responsibilities
• Proficiency with quantitative analytical tools including Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Excellent quantitative, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for gathering, manipulating, and interpreting data and uncovering insights that drive business decisions
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex data in a simple and easy-to-understand manner
• Must possess an internal client service orientation
• Self-starter with the ability to manage time and multiple assignments, shift priorities, and work independently to meet project deadlines
• Willingness to travel up to 5%

Preferred

• Advanced degree with an emphasis on quantitative analysis (e.g., economics, finance, business analysis, engineering or equivalent)
• Experience in pricing or finance
• Experience in the telecommunications industry or other subscription-based business
