-Work with the Original Video team and others inside NBC News to create and update playlists that feed NBC News’ various OTT and syndication platforms

-Pitch and serve as main point of contact for outside syndication partners

-Embed relevant videos in article pages across NBC News digital portfolio

-Drive audience engagement through regular interactions with users across all platforms

-Track analytics to measure performance

-Monitor competitors for best practices in the rapidly evolving OTT landscape

-Bachelor’s degree

-2+ years of experience publishing and promoting video on the Web and digital platforms

-Strong journalistic grounding and editorial judgment

-Experience with content management/online publishing systems

-Ability to track and apply performance metrics

-Willing to work in Los Angeles, CA

-Passion for news, politics and internet culture

-Active on social media

-Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, often hectic environment

The Specialist, Video Distribution & Curation is responsible for the curation and presentation of NBC News video on Over the Top (OTT) platforms and other digital syndication partners such as Hulu, YouTube and AOL. For this role, we are looking for a digitally savvy news junkie with firsthand knowledge of OTT platforms and strong instincts for what consumers are most looking for and how they discover and stream topical non-fiction video.
