  • Work closely with the editorial team to pitch and produce video components for the content they’re working on

  • • Bachelor’s degree
    • 4+ years professional experience shooting, producing and editing video for digital platforms
    • Proficient in AVID and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects.)
    • Able to grab viewers and tell the full story in as little time as possible
    • Must be aware of latest formats and trends in digital video
    • Experience in field and studio production
    • Experience shooting with DSLR cameras
    • Collaborative spirit and outstanding communication skills
    • Ability to manage tight deadlines
    • Must be willing to work in New York City

    NBC News Digital is looking for a talented and creative shooter/producer/editor to craft compelling videos for and our verticals.

    You’re a good candidate for this role if you’re a native digital producer with a track record of creating high quality, journalistic, digital video. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a mix of short-form videos across a variety of topics. You will be comfortable producing video features on a weekly and biweekly basis and quick-turning shorter videos sometimes daily for our verticals Think and Better. You will work with our editors and reporters to pitch ideas that will bring our journalism to life. You will also be assigned stories from the original reporting being produced by the newsroom. This role will also be responsible for supporting our verticals by creating content that will drive opportunities for sponsorship. You should be able to identify and adapt to emerging platforms and opportunities, and possess an understanding of creative ways to draw in viewers. We need someone who feels just as comfortable working independently as they do working with our team of editors, reporters, designers, and colleagues across the newsroom.
