This Role…

We are currently seeking an Instructional Design Project Manager in our Education Department to support development, revision, and maintenance of courses for the talent development profession.


Make an Impact By…

  • Collaborating with cross-function teams to develop innovative learning solutions to support various ATD education programs.

  •  Managing instructional design projects; Developing, managing, and/or overseeing project budget, project plan, financial reporting; Gathering and documenting technical requirements for projects and vendor contracts.

  • Managing external vendor contracts and relationships. 

  • Providing instructional design guidance to subject matter experts during design, development, and pilot phases of projects. 

  • Researching industry trends and sourcing innovative solutions that contribute to the growth and scalability of the business line. 

  • Reviewing and evaluating existing programs to make recommendations for enhancements, revisions, and product sunsetting.   

  • Providing technical expertise to ensure successful program content, designs, and materials. 

  • Creating product description information and content to support marketing efforts.

  • Analyzing participation and performance data to continuously optimize the product portfolio and user experience.

  • Liaising with the Marketing function to support marketing strategy and execution for the education products.

  • Developing deep knowledge of the Education business line to serve as a trusted consultant on education programs. 

  • Analyzing operational processes and business challenges to identify areas for process improvement for ATD education programs. 

  • Writing course descriptions for website, catalog, and technology platforms in partnership with subject matter experts and marketing. 

  • Reviewing technology platform set-ups for courses to ensure accuracy.  

  • Participating on special projects as assigned. 


What you Bring to this Role…

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master’s degree preferred

  • At least 7 years of experience in instructional design, education and project management is required 

  • Experience in a fast-paced technology inspired culture with the ability to work in a dynamic environment, consistently demonstrating positive business acumen 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Proficiency in working within various learning technology platforms a plus

  • Proficiency in rapid development tools a plus

  • Excellent skills in problem-solving, interpersonal communication, writing/editing, planning, organization, time management, multi-tasking, productivity, and efficiency 

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and cross-functional work environment
