Job Purpose

The SmartBrief Partner Development team is seeking an experienced Account Manager to work as part of a team-oriented, entrepreneurial corporate environment in our exciting office in downtown Washington, DC.

The Account Manager, Partner Development will manage all aspects of the partner relationship from launch through renewal negotiations. This position required strategic collaboration with departments throughout the company to anticipate client needs.This position provides an exceptional learning, growing and career- advancing opportunity in the exciting field of digital media and publishing.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in all aspects of account management, including day-to-day, frontline contact with specific clients to ensure superior service 

  • Develop and execute strategic growth and renewal plans

  • Strategic collaboration with departments throughout the organization

What do I need to succeed?

  • 3-5 years of related client service experience

  • Proven ability to interact and build relationships with executive level professionals

  • Ability to identify client needs and develop solutions with our Content and Product teams 

  • Strong sales ability to up-sell existing clients into additional products and services 

  • A strong sense of organization with strict attention to detail 

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated flexibility to manage multiple tasks, solve problems and schedule work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to synthesize complex issues to internal and external audiences

  • Dedication to meeting quarterly and annual growth targets

  • Proficiency with a variety of software packages, including Excel, Word and SalesForce

  • Legal right to work in the United States
