Through a combination of organic growth and key acquisitions we now have 3,000 clients, processing over 100M tickets annually across 8,000 venues that generates in excess $3B in ticketing and fundraising transactions across Europe & North America. To support this continued expansion, we are seeking to add to our growing team.

General Description: 

Based in New York or Toronto, the Director, Consumer Acquisition role is a new role for the company and will report to the Publisher and COO of our consumer businesses. This position is focused on growing ticket sales for our SaaS and Affiliate partners by leveraging our consumer platforms including web, social, email, partnerships and paid media.  The Director, Consumer Acquisition will develop the strategies around driving audience growth for these initiatives and converting them to support our partners’ needs which will include sales, subscriptions, lead generation and fundraising. The Ticketing Manager will play a key role in developing the KPIs and forecast for this revenue generating initiative and should come with a strong consumer marketing background.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a perspective on the landscape of ticketing and affiliate clients and size the opportunity

  • Together with other key stakeholders, create KPIs and goals which include driving customer growth and revenue for our SaaS partners and affiliates

  • Report on KPIs weekly and provide analysis and recommendations for growth initiatives

  • Establish plans and a timeline to test different mediums to find the most effective and efficient means of driving towards the goals

  • Identify new platforms and techniques for driving performance outside of our own assets and tools

  • Build a rollout schedule of these programs and include any dependencies needed to achieve the goals

  • Work closely with members of the organization across a variety of departments including marketing, product, technology, ad operations and editorial in order to successfully execute your plans

  • Present the findings regularly to the Senior Leadership Team

  • Keep current with best practices relating to relevant digital advertising platforms

  • Develop the strategic approach preparing integrated marketing plans and partner with cross-functional teams to build optimal channel marketing mix and supporting campaigns, including advertising, social creative, and promotions.

Requirements: 

  • Must be ready to both speak to strategy and performance at a high level but also be willing to roll up your sleeves and get in the details as this is a new role that will require experimentation

  • A team player attitude that understands how critical it is to communicate frequently

  • Comfortable working inside a matrixed organization with multiple locations and time zones

  • Experience analyzing conversion funnels and optimization using tools such as Google Analytics

  • Understand business, marketing, and legal constraints and opportunities to drive growth.

  • Proactively plan to address new market segment opportunities and react to unforeseen challenges.

  • Analyze the results of launched initiatives and drive improvements through scalable, efficient new processes to optimize our resources at all times.

  • Drive overall Online Consumer Acquisition strategy in support of ticketing client ticket, membership and fundraising revenue.

  • Own execution of strategy from beginning to end.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing across owned and paid channels

  • Proven track record successfully managing a tight acquisition budget and taking a company through an intensive growth period.

  • Experience working with several stakeholders both inside and outside the organization

  • Highly analytical: Data-driven mindset coupled with the ability to effectively communicate and present to senior executives.

  • Able to strategically prioritize and make decisions to effectively balance long term business goals with short term needs.

  • Excellent communicator: Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization from external vendors to senior leadership to junior team members.

  • Background in user experience and design a plus

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Experience using data driven tools such as Google Analytics, social media reporting and Looker

  • College degree
